Terms for the closed beta

1. What the beta is

Mimir Lineage is under development and is now being tested by invited users. The service is run by [PLACEHOLDER: full name] as a private individual. Taking part in the beta is free.

2. Things can go wrong

The software may have errors, be unavailable or change without notice. There is no guarantee of uptime or that data is preserved. Download an export of your trees regularly – you can do so at any time from each tree's sharing page.

3. Your responsibility for what you record

• You are responsible for being allowed to record the information you enter – especially about people who are alive.
• Do not record national identity numbers, health information, current addresses or contact details of living persons.
• Only give access to living persons to people you know and trust.
• Only upload images you have the right to use.

4. Feedback

Feedback is very welcome. By sending it you allow us to use the ideas to improve the service.

5. End of the beta

The beta may end or become a regular service. You will be notified by e-mail at least [PLACEHOLDER: number of days] days before data is deleted or the terms change, so that you can download your trees.

6. Leaving

You can delete your trees and your account yourself at any time. Accounts that break these terms may be closed.
